What Is A Virtual Financial Advisor

First, what we are not: we are not an algorithm and we are not a robo-advisor. We are real, living financial advisors who provide full-service wealth management services to clients across the country. We work out of our offices in St. Louis, MO and from our home offices when needed. You can be located wherever you want. Virtual financial advisor just refers to how we deliver our service to you.

We utilize innovative software, such as Zoom and Docusign, to achieve this virtual, remote working relationship and to make it as convenient as possible for clients. Online access is provided so you can see your account balances and activity on a daily basis. We are readily available via phone, email, or zoom. Plus, when we visit your hometown or you visit ours, we'd love to meet in person.

And don't let the technology aspect scare you. Our virtual financial advisors will walk you through the very simple steps to get you set up. You don't have to be a technology wizard to use the tools we provide.

The Benefits Of Working With A Virtual Financial Advisor

Again, it's important to compare what will and won't happen. Unlike the robo-advisors, you are not going to be inputting data into an online form, hitting submit, and then getting a financial plan or recommendations generated for you. Instead, you are working remotely with us, your virtual advisors, in a traditional financial advisory capacity. You'll have our direct phone lines, unlike the Robos with 1-800 hotlines. Your financial life is nuanced, and we know that. There is no one-size-fits-all financial plan. Some of the most important things about your financial life can only be captured by that human-to-human conversation, such as how strongly you feel about something, not to mention the establishment of trust.

How Does Working With A Financial Advisor Save You Time?

Instead of driving to our office, we can meet face-to-face (physically or via Zoom) or via phone when and where it is convenient for you. Maybe it is on your lunch break at your place of work, maybe it is on your couch in the comfort of your home, or maybe it is during your time off on vacation. As long as you are connected to the internet, or at least have a working phone line, we can meet. Virtual meetings in all industries and by nature last shorter due to less distractions: no discussion about the artwork on the walls, the views from the office, how you like your coffee, etc. Of course, we still want to foster that deeper kind of relationship, but if you need it to be short, we can accommodate that.

How Does Working With A Virtual Financial Advisor Save You Money?

Every little bit helps, right? By not driving to our office, you can save on gas. By meeting when it is convenient for you, you don't have to take time off work or hire a babysitter for your kids. In fact, we're used to having a kiddo or two pop into one of our Zoom meetings to say hello and we're used to meeting with clients during their lunch breaks!

Working With A Virtual Financial Advisor Is For Whom Exactly?

Anyone who wants it really. Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic, we found that many clients preferred Zoom meetings instead of in-person. Whether this trend stays or not is still up in the air, but we are confident this will remain one of our offerings, especially with clients across the country. For those who are local, we gladly welcome you to our office!

Does It Matter Where You Live When You Work With A Virtual Financial Advisor?

No matter where you live or move to throughout your life, you can be assured that we'll be right there with you along the way. There will be no need to switch financial advisors. It doesn't matter where you live in the USA.

What Is It Like Meeting With A Virtual Financial Advisor?

It's pretty straightforward. First, we usually have a phone call where you tell us what you're looking for and we tell you a little bit about what we provide. This first call is about getting to know each other and getting a feel for how well we would work together. Then, assuming we mutually agree to take the next step, we will schedule the information gathering meeting. This can be done over the phone, via Zoom, or in person. It usually takes around 30 minutes and can sometimes be added to the tail end of the first call if time allows. We gather most of the information we need so that we can put together an official proposal with recommendations regarding your financial/retirement plan. Once we put the proposal together, then it is time to meet to go over it. The proposal meeting works best via Zoom or in person, not via phone. Zoom and in-person works best because we can screnn share or show you in-person the proposal, as well as explain it to you. At the end of the proposal meeting, you'll decide if we move forward with the proposal as is, tweak it, or abstain from moving forward. Assuming we move forward as is, we then formalize the agreement, implement the recommendations and the plan, and then monitor it on an ongoing basis from there.

Together, we will design and execute a plan to help meet your financial goals. Whether you need a plan addressing how to live on your investments or how to grow your investments, we'll structure them so that they work for you. And, we'll monitor it on an ongoing basis and adjust as needed. To find out more about what we do, check us out here on our website.
